You Can Now Turn Your Microsoft Rewards Into Mixer Subscriptions
If you rely a lot on Microsoft services, chances are you probably have a decent amount of Microsoft Rewards points. And now, there is one more way to redeem your Microsoft Rewards points.
Mixer announced on Monday that the service now supports Microsoft Rewards, letting users turn their reward points into Mixer channel subscriptions.
The idea here is pretty simple: once you earn enough Microsoft Rewards, you can buy a subscription for a Mixer streamer of your choice. Doing so will give you access to things like custom emotes, 5x Sparks, and 2X XP earnings for a month — but more importantly, it will directly and financially support the streamer you are supporting.
You can exchange 3,850 reward points for a one-month subscription to a Mixer channel of your choice. The subscriptions don’t renew automatically, and you can subscribe to more than one channel if you have enough reward points.
Mixer channel subscriptions are available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand & Singapore. But as Microsoft Rewards is available in more countries, this is obviously a problem — for now, anyway. Microsoft says the company will be bringing Mixer channel subscriptions to remaining Microsoft Rewards markets in early May.
