Microsoft has released today the Windows 11 Insider builds 22621.1755 and 22624.1755 for Beta Channel testers. However, there are no new features in these two builds, just bug fixes, including one that’s quite important for IT pros.

For the group of Beta Channel Insiders that will receive the build 22624.1755, the new bits include a fix for an issue causing the Settings app to crash when Insiders attempted to uninstall an app while using the grid view.

The Windows 11 build 22624.1755 and the build 22621.1755 also both include a fix for the new Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) that’s now built-in on Windows 11. This update addresses an issue causing Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS) to become unresponsive when a device processes multiple local account operations at the same time.

This Windows LAPS fix is also included in the May 2023 Patch Tuesday update that Microsoft released today. This update also introduces a new toggle in Windows Update to download optional updates as soon as they’re available. That’s a feature Microsoft previously tested with Beta Channel Insiders.

We’ll see if Microsoft releases more substantial updates for Insiders on the Canary and Dev Channels later this week. With Google kicking off its I/O developer conference tomorrow, it may be the right time for Microsoft to throw a bone at Windows fans.
