Stardock Announces Groupy 2
Stardock today announced Groupy 2, which brings a universal tab experience to nearly all apps running on Windows 10 and 11.
“Groupy 2 brings a modern, universal tab experience to Windows 10 and 11, Stardock’s Brad Sams says. “Groupy 2 is the easiest way to organize the windows on your desktop. With the new grouping feature that lets you launch multiple applications with a single click, your workflow will never be the same.”
Stardock released the initial version of Groupy in 2017 and the product took on new urgency when Microsoft delayed (and then canceled) the similar Sets feature in Windows 10. It then added Groupy to its Object Desktop suite, and has issued various updates, though it’s been quiet in recent years.
With Groupy 2, however, Stardock is tackling both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and it is adding new features. Key among them is a new grouping feature that lets you save a group of application tabs and then pin them to the Taskbar. There’s also an accents feature that puts a customizable color on the top of each application tab. And Groupy 2 has been visually updated to match the Windows 11 look and feel.
Groupy 2 is now available in beta, and while it is normally $9.99 for individuals, it’s on sale now for $6.99. For Object Desktop users, Groupy 2 is now available for free.
