Samsung Launches New Galaxy A-Series Handsets
Samsung today announced new Galaxy A33 5G, A53 5G, and A73 5G midrange smartphones, giving a new push to its best-selling lineup.
“We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the positive impact mobile technology can have on their lives,” Samsung Electronics president TM Roh said. “With the latest Galaxy A series release, we’re making it easier than ever to enjoy Galaxy’s advanced, innovative mobile experience at a great value.”
The Galaxy A53G is available for preorder now and it will ship starting March 31. It provides “a brand new 5nm processor,” a 6.5-inch 1080p display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, 5G connectivity, IP67 water resistance, and a 5000 mAh battery, comes in black, and will cost just $449, making it a compelling alternative to the recently updated iPhone SE. It also features a triple-lens camera system with a 64 MP wide lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, and 5 MP macro and depth lenses. And it will be updated with up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades, and up to five years of security updates.
Two other handsets, the Galaxy A33 5G with a 6.4-inch 1080p display, and the Galaxy A73 5G, with a 6.7-inch 1080p display, will ship in late April.
