Microsoft’s Edge browser is getting a new Workspaces feature that will allow teammates to collaborate on the same tab group. The company announced the new feature at its Ignite 2022 conference for IT pros today, which will have a big focus on new productivity features.

Jared Spataro, CVP of Modern Work at Microsoft explained that Edge Workspaces will allow team members who start working on a new project to get all the relevant websites and files they need to get started. “Everyone working together on a project can view the same websites and files in one place as a shared set of browser tabs,” explained Spataro.

Microsoft Edge Workspaces build on the browser’s existing Tab Group feature, and a shared group of tabs will update in real time for all users. It should be a nice addition to Edge’s set of productivity features, which already includes work profiles for Office 365 commercial accounts.
