Lenovo unveiled the Yoga Book 9i at CES today, a new dual-screen laptop with two 13.3-inch OLED screens. It’s a bit of a throwback to Microsoft’s canceled Surface Neo, and Lenovo has actually teamed up with Microsoft to optimize screen reorientations on Windows 11 for this form factor.

Just like dual-screen phones, dual-screen laptops aren’t going to become mainstream anytime soon, but Lenovo imagined various use cases for the Yoga Book 9i’s form factor. The hinge will let users seamlessly switch between laptop, tablet, or tent mode depending on the task at hand.

“In a face-to-face meeting, users can use the tent mode to display a slide presentation on one screen while viewing and controlling the presentation from the second screen,” Lenovo explained. “Communication and collaboration in virtual meeting sessions are also enhanced with the dual screen capability – enabling the host to share a presentation on one screen while viewing the chat, responding to questions and advancing slides from the second screen.”

The Yoga Book 9i will come with 13th gen Intel Core i7 CPUs with Iris Xe integrated graphics, 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The two 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED displays also support Dolby Vision HDR, and the Yoga Book 9i also comes with a 360-degree rotating sound bar with Bowers & Wilkins speakers that support Dolby Atmos spatial audio.

The Yoga Book 9i will start at $2,099.99 when it launches in June. The dual-screen laptop will come with a Smart Pen stylus and folio stand, and Lenovo will also be offering a detachable Bluetooth keyboard allowing users to type more easily.

Lenovo introduced other new products at CES today including a Lenovo Tab Extreme Android tablet with a 14.5-inch OLED display that will be priced at $1199.99 when it launches in late 2023. It will be joined by the Lenovo Smart Paper, a new notepad with a 10.3-inch e-ink display that will be priced at $399.99.
