Lenovo unveiled today its new ThinkPad X1 portfolio ahead of CES in January. The new lineup includes the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8, and the ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3.
As Lenovo is aiming to make the over 30 years old ThinkPad brand more sustainable, these 3 new laptops all feature recycled materials in select components. They also ship with a new Lenovo Commercial Vantage app that lets users tweak various settings to reduce energy consumption.
“The flagship ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, X1 Yoga Gen 8, and X1 Nano Gen 3 laptops continue their history of delivering unmatched performance and productivity through an inimitable design language that marries form and function with amazing foundational engineering know-how,” Lenovo said in a press release.
Lenovo’s new ThinkPad X1 laptops come with Intel’s latest gen Core CPUs, up to 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 2TB of SSD storage. There are also optional 14” OLED displays on the ThinkPad Carbon Gen 11 and the ThinkPad Yoga Gen 8. However, the ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 comes with a smaller 13-inch screen with up to 2K resolution.
The three new Lenovo X1 laptops also come with the Lenovo View app, which provides intelligent camera features including auto-framing and eye wellness alerts. Moreover, the three new ThinkPad laptops also come with Lenovo’s ThinkShield security suite as well as mechanical camera shutters to improve privacy.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Carbon Gen 11, ThinkPad Yoga Gen 8, and ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 will be available starting in April 2023 with prices starting at $1,729, $1,859, and $1,649 respectively.
