HP Unveils New Dragonfly Pro Laptop at CES
HP unveiled its new Dragonfly Pro laptop alongside other new Windows 11 PCs at CES today. HP is targeting the freelancer community with its new Dragonfly Pro portfolio, which has been co-engineered with AMD to optimize performance in “real word productivity scenarios.”
“The new HP Dragonfly Pro portfolio helps reduce friction in users’ lives, and delivers experiences that matter most, including: powerful audio, camera and touchscreen; all-day battery life; and, 24/7 live concierge support and services for effortless productivity,” HP explained in a press release. The Dragonfly Pro does come with four hot keys providing quick access to HP support, Windows 11 Quick Settings, and Camera settings. The fourth hotkey can be configured to launch the app of your choice.
The HP Dragonfly Pro comes with AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs, up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, up to 1TB of storage, and a 5MP webcam with IR and a camera shutter. It also has a 14-inch IPS Full HD screen, and its 3.53 lbs (1.6kg) body uses recycled metals and plastics.
The HP Dragonfly Pro will be available later this spring, but pricing details are still unknown. HP will also be launching a Dragonfly Pro Chromebook in the same timeframe, and this model will come with Intel CPUs and an 8MP webcam.
HP also unveiled new business laptops today with the HP Dragonfly G4, HP EliteBook 1040 G10, and HP Elite x360 1040 G10, which will also be available later this spring. These laptops will support new intelligent features to optimize thermal performance and minimize battery usage at the end of the workday.
