Posted January 3, 2023 | Acer | Chrome OS | Hardware | Mobile | Windows | Windows 11

Acer today announced a wide range of PCs and peripherals, including many aimed at gamers. There’s even a crazy bike desk.

Here’s a rundown of the most interesting announcements.

eKinekt Bike Desk. The eco-friendly eKinekt Bike Desk not only lets you work out while sitting at your computer, it can also be used to power your computer and charge other devices. The desk offers two USB-A and one USB-C port for multiple mobile device charging, a bag hook, and a beverage holder, Acer notes, and it can be used in Work or Sports mode. The eKinekt Bike Desk comes to North America in June and will start at $999.

SpatialLabs TrueGame has a new 3D Ultra mode. Acer’s SpatialLabs TrueGame is a glasses-free stereoscopic 3D gaming technology, and it’s getting a major upgrade with the addition of a new 3D Ultra mode. It combines eye-tracking, a stereoscopic 3D display, and real-time scene rendering technologies to bring 3D scenes, objects, and characters to life. The new 3D Ultra mode will go live via a software update by the end of January 2023, Acer says. And it also supports the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop and Acer SpatialLabs View display.

Swift Go. This new thin and light laptop comes in 14- and 16-inch variants that sport high-resolution and fast refresh rate OLED displays, 13th Gen Intel Core H-series processors, all day battery life, impressive cooling systems, and a range of ports that includes USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader. Each supports up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory. The Acer Swift Go 14 ships in North America in May ($849.99 and up), while the 16-inch version arrives in June ($799.99 and up).

Acer Halo Swing Smart Speaker. This portable smart speaker is powered by the Google Assistant, offers IPX5 water resistance, an LED dot display, DTS Sound, Bluetooth 5.2, and colorful base lighting. Pricing and availability are unavailable.

Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Add-In-One 24. Acer is offering two new Chrome OS-based desktop PCs, the Acer Chromebox CXI5 and the Add-In-One 24. The CXI5 supports up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, Intel vPro, and up to four external displays, and it can be added to an Add-in-One to create a 24-inch all-in-one Chromebox with Full HD display. The Acer Chromebox CXI5 will be available in North America in Q1 starting at $289.99, while the Add-In-One 24 will start at $609.99
